§ 40-471. Abandoned wells.

  • Whenever any water well in the city is abandoned and is no longer in use so that the pump has been removed, the casing of such well shall be thoroughly grouted so that surface water cannot enter the well. The method to be used for such grouting and protection from surface water seepage shall be determined and prescribed in each instance by the environmental health officer in the manner that he deems necessary to accomplish the purposes of this section.
